GreenFence

Environmental Management and Social Policy

The burden on the environment from industrial and commercial activities becomes more intense in the context of modernization and continuous technological advancement, which aims to meet the increasing demands and needs of modern times.

Environmental management is a unique and significant challenge. GreenFence, recognizing that energy resources are not inexhaustible and understanding that its activities could potentially impact the environment, makes the utmost effort to both reduce these impacts and maintain the balance of the ecosystem. For these reasons, GreenFence —within the framework of healthy entrepreneurship and based on the principles of sustainable development— fully complies with current national and European legislation, with codes of ethics related to its operations, and ensures the adoption of preventive and corrective measures to prevent environmental degradation. All its actions and activities align with the provisions of Article 24 of the Constitution regarding Environmental Protection, Law 4819/2021 concerning a comprehensive framework for Waste Management and Recycling, and Law 4042/2012 for the Criminal Protection of the Environment. Furthermore, GreenFence, to achieve its goals, implements an Environmental Management System compliant with the European EMAS Regulation and the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
