EWC Codes

The above list is the European waste catalogue and may be revised by the EC Commission at regular intervals based on new knowledge, and in particular research results in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 18 of Directive 75/442 / EEC as amended by Directive 91/156 / EC. The various waste categories in the list are fully identified by the six-digit waste code and the corresponding two-digit and four-digit codes for the headings of the waste.
